Herbals, Cottage/Kitchen/Hedge Witchery, Wisewoman Craft, Practical Cures

Description Yoinked from GoodReads: This book records a year-long journey into the earth's natural cycles as they unfold in New York City. Each monthly section discusses one herb in detail -- how and where it grows and what it does -- and presents recipes for simple teas, lotions, and foods, along with rituals appropriate to the season that can bring your life back into harmony with the moods of nature. Even in the city, the constant presence of the natural world and the use of herbs can be a touchstone to lead both body and soul back to a natural cadence.

A Note for the menfolk from Vix -  the author talks a lot about women's issues like menopause, mid-wiving, and whatnot. The phrase "sacred menstruation" is used in a non-ironic fashion. Be ready for that. Still, I think it's a worthwhile read for anybody.

There is an AMAZING amount of herblore and practical herb usage packed into this book. Seriously. I'm still digesting all of the information and plan to put everything I've learned into practice as an aspirant Wisewoman.

Even if you just want to know a good plant for putting on a burn or insect bite or bee sting...this book has you covered.
