Rushiwowen ("So I heard") is a Taiwanese group of singing monks founded by Venerable Master Hsing Yun in 1990s.
This 22 CD set includes all important sutras of Pure Land Buddhism, a branch of Buddhism focused on Amitabha Buddha. The chants are in Chinese and - where appropriate - in Sanskrit.
Although the main goal of these recordings is just help in memorizing the sutras, the music is quite pleasurable. Instrumental arrangements are contemporary (synthesizers, Chinese instruments, percussion) but very delicate.
Track titles and cue sheets are in Chinese. To display them correctly and to divide apes into tracks - select Chinese as language for non-unicode programs. (In Windows: Control Pannel - Language and Regional Settings - Advanced).
Feel free to convert to mp3's and upload.
