Dreams Of Damanhur
The first and only documentary about the remarkable Federation of Damanhur. This intentional community is best known for it's enormous underground complex of temples.
Directed by: Keith Busha
Runtime: 1 hour 7 minutes
Release year: 2010
Studio: Obscura Films
This documentary is about a self-sustainable community in Italy with their own currency, off-grid power supply, parapsychology and paranormal research, spirituality, schooling, etc. e.g. one of the projects shown in the video is where they record musical interactions with plants. The Catholic church tried hard to destroy the project but somehow they survived it and got support from the Italian government. And the group has no guru, the person who started it some 30+ years ago calls himself the chauffeur of the community. More on the community can be found here: http://www.damanhur.org/
And here are some interesting http://www.damanhurwelcome.com/index.php/en/courses/our-cour... that they teach
This reminds somewhat of the Auroville in India, but since I haven't been to either I can't really compare...

I have been to Damanhur three times, the first in December of 2000. The Crea hadn't yet been constructed, and there were few visitors. I was speechless when I saw the Temples of Humankind for the first time, and still find it difficult--even after a third visit-- to effectively communicate about Damanhur. All I can say is, "You've got to see it . . . it's the eighth wonder of the world!" Damanhurians are, indeed, the busiest and most dedicated group of citizens I've ever met. It is very much like being in a bee hive. They are clearly on a creative mission. I was able to purchase a midi/synthesizer at Damanhur, so now my plants at home can sing. Fascinating! Damanhur is mysterious and almost unfathomable. It is a must-see. My mission in life is to recognize and be in touch with my own divine essence on a moment by moment basis as I move through the world, creating heaven on earth here and now. At our essence we are loving, peaceful, kind, compassionate, generous, joyous and wise. I am grateful to the Damanhurians for their willingness to push the envelope and explore possibilities. Thank you for making this film and for giving voice to so many of my own unexpressed thoughts and feelings.

When people come together, in the purest essence of love, with the intention to BE in the present moment and work as a community for the greater good of all, they are able to accomplish great things. This film proves that beautifully. I now consciously acknowledge there are so many more possibilities than anyone could ever imagine and I find myself living with this new perspective: What are the possibilities? We are indeed limitless. We are all able to get along as a society while protecting our planet and living happy, healthy, peaceful lives. Finding joy and bringing joy to others is our true purpose here on this earth. Fascinating in its scope, this must see film will touch you at a soul level, inspire your heart to open up to pure love and motivate your mind to think of all the possibilities so you will grow into your most authentic self.
